Zdeněk Větrovec is a Czech songwriter
moving his creation on the border between folk, chanson and also marginally jazz and flamenco. His music is purely original and accompanies his singing by playing the Spanish guitar. The repertoire is trying to reflect the present day, which is manifested not only in fragile ballads and melodrama, but in a humorous-satirical chants, seeking reconciliation with everyday and unusual woes of life. For its texts the author draws inspiration mainly in motifs from everyday life and encounters with reality, as well as from France lived journey.
The songs themselves are balanced in raw submission, grace and fragile dreams and memories, tinged restlessness of contemporary events.
